Have you ever thought about what it would be like to work for a company like Apple, Google, Nike, Louis Vuitton, Hulu or Beats creating content in all the most relevant and contemporary forms of media? In this 2 1/2 week daily workshop, you’ll learn about the career path of a Creative Director from industry experts Gary Goldsmith and Z Gevorkian, of the renowned ArtCenter College of Design. Gary and Z will share examples of some of the most exciting ad work being produced around the world today and will lead discussions about what makes this work rise above the competition. They’ll answer your questions about what it’s like to be a Creative Director on a day-to-day basis. And they’ll give you assignments that will let you experience the joys (and difficulties) of coming up with great ideas, as well as teach you the skills to quickly execute those ideas as you begin to build a portfolio. You’ll work on some projects alone and some as part of a team, and you’ll participate in discussions about your peers’ work with the intent of helping them make it better. Because after all, that’s one of the most important things Creative Directors do.

He’s picked up a few cool nicknames and done good work along the way. On his downtime he paints, snowboards, plays the role of a night owl, plays chess, reads a lot of books (nerd is the new black), enjoys a few games (PS gamer tag: KOoNEMKEZzzz) and spends time with his loved ones. He also teaches at ArtCenter, where his proudest moments are seeing his students graduate and start their careers.
